Mm, not quite. If everyone had decided I deserved to die for it, I was prepared for that outcome. I never thought I wouldn't be found out.

More like I was worried that if I'd announced what Meltryllis was at the start of the week, someone would kill her before we could find a way to save her.
When I hadn't found a solution by the end of the week, I made up my mind. But if I was going that far, then I'd rather kill Meltryllis after she transformed, since it was the monster at fault, not her... even though that made the fight a lot harder than it needed to be.
But I could afford to do that because I had the skull. Others wouldn't necessarily have that protection. Or, someone might decide not to take that chance.
[he gets enough flack back home for fighting fairly when he doesn't have to.]
I'm grateful you protected everybody. I wish you felt like you could've been honest about your plans, that's all. I can't support killing somebody, but I believe you when you say that you didn't see any other option.
The way you beat her! Saying you'd only fight her as a monster to show you didn't hate her human side! Fuckin' badass! You set a trap for her and then chased her out a window and shot and stabbed that giant fish thing in the face! Shit!

You thought we'd screw up your plan? Or you thought we'd vote you out?

See? It did matter.
What you just said. I can respect that.

Uh, thanks? You're not about to punch me again, are you?

I could, if you think fighting it out will help us settle things. But I'm okay. I understand what you did and why you did it.

[Staring at him for a second and then, so softly, patting him right on the cheek where he hit him.]

[You're welcome, Missile. Anyway. He's suddenly serious again.]

... Um, thanks? I'll keep you in mind if there's ever another reason to fight a giant fish thing?
